I purchased a 25" Hoyt GMX3 riser from my preferred authorized dealer a few months back and, after getting the bow set-up, I was thoroughly enjoying the feel of shooting with it. However, I noticed that the mounting point for the front stabilizer had been machined off-center. I was tempted to just carry on using the bow but given the cost of the riser I decided it should be correct and spoke to the selling dealer who advised they would set-up an RMA with Hoyt.

r/Archery - Negative Experience with Hoyt RMA
I sent the riser back to the dealer on October 10th, and they promptly confirmed the riser was defective and sent it on to Hoyt, with it arriving around October 24th. This is where it all started to go downhill - It took until late November to get Hoyt to acknowledge they had even received the riser, and then until December 5th to get a response from them - As you can imagine there were quite a few annoyed calls from both myself and the dealer to Hoyt trying to figure out what was happening, and many call backs promised by Hoyt were never made.

Last week Hoyt finally reached out to tell me that I am mistaken, and it is not machined incorrectly, and that they were rejecting the RMA and sending the riser back as-is. Hoyt have informed me that the issue I am seeing is because the riser has been 'buffed more on one side than the other so it just looks off-center'. I am livid, to say the least, it has been two months without my riser now and they are refusing to replace it. I made requests to speak to management, but when finally able to do so they were blunt and dismissive of my concerns.

The dealer is now trying the same escalations through their rep, but it doesn't seem that route will resolve the issue either.

I don't know that there is any other action I can follow than to vote with my wallet and not purchase any other Hoyt products, which is a shame as I have always enjoyed their compound bows as well. This isn't a call to arms, or a request for others to do the same, merely a musing on my experience that others may find to be forewarned in future.

Bought the RX8 in July, a screw backed out of the cam and bent the module. Was informed by the dealer Hoyt would not cover the module! A lifetime warranty if they cover it!?! A two thousand dollar bow. WARNING! Do not waste your money!

Called Hoyt for a simple part. I don’t have a Hoyt dealer near me. The guy on phone pretty much says no we won’t help, and if you don’t like it go to another manufacturer. That’s it! Then he proceeds to back peddle for the comment. Never again!!!!

And not to mention their products cheaply made. For the price they charge it is junk!!! Guess what? I went to another manufacturer, and I am glad I did!

5 Stars for the Bow - can't complain at all.
0 Stars for the Support - can't find one good word about the non-existing Support. Tried to contact the Support 2 times by e-Mail no response at all.

I don't write reviews but I had to write review for Hoyt/ fuse archery. A little quick-release knob fell off my bow quiver right after purchasing it. I called Hoyt/ fuse archery and asked if I could purchase a replacement knob. They would not accommodate me at all and told me I had to go through a dealer. I went back to the dealer and requested it but six months later and two attempts I still couldn't get one. I called Hoyt/ fuse archery again to request this little quick release screw and again there was absolutely no accommodation. So I've gone over 6 months with my quiver tied to my bow with a string. I've never experienced such poor customer service so I personally will not be using any Hoyt or fuse products again.

By far the worst customer service I have ever experienced. My Carbon Element had the limb pocket separate from the riser..... Reaching out to Hoyt for repair, I feel I was left with a ticking time bomb. The main question of my safety using the bow was never answered, that was really my biggest concern! From the mouth of Pet Hanson "I looked up the serial number and it was never registered so with out proof of purchase we can't warranty it. It's a second hand bow" I did by the bow new from a dealer who is no longer around. I never received anything from my dealer about registering it, I never had a problem taking a bow back to my dealer for warranty work. But now with the dealer gone, Hoyt has seemed to find a way to wiggle out on warranty work. As a consumer we should be able to bring any concern for our safety to a manufacture and receive answers, not have it dismissed due to an oversight! Safety of a consumer should be the first concern when they a have product that is failing! They didn't even look at it. Just expressed they can't do anything. The bottom line is this, don't put your safety or your hunt of a life thine in the hands of the engineers at Hoyt! Their carbon bow are nothing more than top of the line bicycle technology that they won't stand behind!

My husband is someone that shoots his bow everyday if possible. He had to send his limbs back on warranty. It took them 2 months to send limbs back, which were the wrong ones! So now who knows how long it will take for him to get his bow back! I don't care how good of a product you sell if you customer service is crap!!! We will never buy or recommend a Hoyt Bow to anyone again! Your customers are what keeps you in business, You should try to take care of them! NOT leave them hanging!!!! Bad Business

If you want good customer service, buy a Matthews, DO NOT BUY A HOYT!!! I needed a new bow string in the middle of archery season so I called Hoyt and they refered me to a dealer 40 miles out of my way. I have had bad experiences with the only dealer around but there are no alternatives. The dealer they referred me too is notorious for taking months to complete orders for replacement parts and I am moving to Idaho in a month. This was never a problem when I had a Matthews. They would ship directly from the factory no hassle every time. My only recourse at this time is shaming them via google review, which I will do relentlessly until they respond with a new bow string for my 34 spyder shipped directly to my house. Seriously why even have customer service when all you can do is pass the buck?
