Girl at the kiosk was extremely pleasant and welcoming. Advised us that due to a weekend protest at the legislative building, our carriage would be a few minutes late. The driver, Ros also very pleasant and asked if we would like a narrative during our ride. She is very knowledgeable and kept us well informed. Horse, Maggie and carriage were well looked after. We enjoyed our experience and would certainly recommend this while visiting in Victoria.
Note: I would suggest calling and booking over the phone as opposed to online as you get charged approx. $8.00 extra to guarantee online payment.

The carriage was a bit behind schedule and there was no one at the booth at the pickup location, so we were a little confused at first, but the actual carriage ride was great. We have never been to Victoria before, so we didn’t have a good idea of what each tour offered. We went on the 30 minute tour through James Bay, but I would recommend one of the longer tours that goes by the ocean as well. Our guide was friendly and knowledgeable and the carriage ride was very relaxing.

We were not in Victoria for very long so we decided this would be the best way to see city. Victoria is absolutely beautiful! So much history, beautiful trees and planets. Beacon Hill was great, getting to see the area around The Empress Hotel was great and the Parliament Building was very pretty.
Our tour guide was fantastic. She knew so much about the city and its history! She recommend that we go to BeaverTails and it was DELICIOUS!!! We had classic poutine and the bananarama. Defiantly don’t miss this place when visiting Victoria!

Being a rancher from Alberta who specializes in breeding, training and caring for horses, I have to say I’m very impressed with Tally-Ho! The guide Debbie (I hope I got that right) and Frankie were a wonderful team! Frankie, super well behaved and Debbie was a wonderful guide. She shared so much fun information about Victoria and we largely discussed the horses and how they are cared for. The beautiful thing to me is how healthy each horse was and how much pride she had for the horse as well. Telling me all his personality and it really showed how much they pay attention and take the time to work with and understand these animals. It takes a lot of hard work to be excellent in animal health and all while running a public business with them too is a great challenge that Tally-Ho really seems to excel with. Our 30 minute tour was truly a highlight to my day! Thank you for truly making a wonderful example for working animals and how well cared for they are! I would recommend this to anyone!

We made arrangements ahead of time, and we got to the pick-up point early. They took us ahead of our scheduled time. We scheduled an extended tour of the area. It was a very quiet and enjoyable ride. Since it was late in the day, toward the end of the tour, we requested an early drop-off at the ship, and they accommodated our request. Our guide was outstanding and gave insights into the local culture. Our tour horse, Sampson, had a pleasant personality. We would do this tour again.

We had a one hour tour with Kennedy and our wonderful horse Remy. Such a beautiful animal. Kennedy was very knowledgeable and personable, she shared great history of Victoria. We are visiting from Ottawa. We would highly recommend Tally-Ho. They take really good care of their horses.

This is the worse service given to us the other day. There was a little wait for the ride they informed us we agreed to wait but then we change our mind and ask for refund and the girl said you need to give us 48 hours notice in order to get refund and that doesn’t make any sense to me how we suppose to give them 48 hours notice when you buy ticket at their booth. When I asked why is that and Tally ho girl said because I said so which was so rude and we didn’t have option so we waited there and on our small ride no tour guide information about the city was given to us. We just wasted our money so I won’t recommend this to anyone . Carriage tours are better than these guys and their service was excellent.
